New, blue accelerator

Hatch was keen on starting up in Bergen because the headquarters for several of the large aquaculture companies are in the city; there is a good environment for the marine industry and many R&D institutions, laboratories and at Marineholmen many small innovative companies are gathered. The cluster organization NCE Seafood Innovation Cluster is important for the networking in Greater Bergen and for getting in touch with the right people. 

Looking for scaling companies globally

– We are looking for companies eager to scale within the aquaculture industry. Move to Bergen and realise something new, urges CEO in Hatch, Carsten Krome. He and his team have long experience from working with the seafood business and from scaling companies, and just now they are looking out for the right companies for the three months programme they are preparing to set up in Bergen.

Investments in aquaculture

Hatch is investing in the companies they invite to participate in the programme. The best companies will be introduced to an aquaculture specific investor community, and will also be given the opportunity to pitch to other investor and funds.

The programme starts in April and ends in June, and the city is excited about welcoming new companies to town.
